About Robinson Laser

The name Robinson became synonymous with innovation in July 1987 with the introduction of RPS® Continuous Cold Reduction, the first line to combine corrective leveling with a modified temper mill. RPS® immediately became the steel industry’s quality standard for hot rolled sheet and plate from coil. In 2007, Robinson entered into a successful joint venture with Cargill, the leader in global commodity risk management which culminated in the 2010 purchase of Robinson’s steel assets by Cargill. Cargill is now the exclusive supplier of RPS® Sheet and Plate to Robinson Laser, LLC.

In 1997, Robinson began to change the concept of laser cutting of first stage flat steel part production with the introduction of RPS® 24Hour Nesting, a proprietary program aggregating in real time the part demand of different customers with different delivery requirements for cutting at one time. The subsequent development of RPS® Realtime Production Sequencing, a proprietary program distributing in real time part production across the network of laser machines, was then followed by RPS®QuickLink, a catalogue.

In July 2010 Robinson Laser introduced RPS®PriceCheck, RPS®RealTime, and RPS®QuickLink as the industry’s first web based on line information system. In real time, 24/7, the customer has complete control of every aspect of the process from design to pricing to shipment.

Robinson Laser's unique technological capabilities creates the benchmark for quality, price and speed. Robinson Performance sets the Standard.
